No clue what is going on (or even if anything is, maybe you just didn't sleep well), but either way I just wanted to drop some words of encouragement. The top universities in the UK and USA are full of Chinese students studying electronics and engineering. The cost of research in China is a tenth of that in the USA so China can do a lot more research for the same US$. With the western sanctions against China, this will actually make China more innovative and speed up development and manufacture in the same way as Russia had to with the 2014 Obama sanctions.
